Welcome To Babylon Gardens!

[Or, more accurately, welcome to Suburbia, USA. Much more modern and normal than the City, of course, with the cookie cutter houses being made of normal building materials instead of metal, streets that don't lead to cold warps, and a lot more people here. Regular humans like you'd see in just about any world, dogs that are like King but aren't corgis, cats that are talking and walking just like the dogs and being about the same size as them, and if you're lucky you might see a ferret or two.

So...mostly normal.]

Wolves Among Us

[The place that stands out most is one of the few houses that break the mold a little bit. It’s larger than the others, and through the windows you can see gray figures; wolves. Taller than most of the other animals in the neighborhood, and definitely more athletic. Despite the fact that there seems to be no humans in the house with them, it doesn’t seem like anyone outside finds it of interest.

Seems like the place King told you about, if you asked him about it. All that’s left to do is knock on the door.]

[It's late into the night when King goes to Caleb. He's knocking on the door to house 10, despite knowing he could go in. He's not going to just walk in right now.

It's a normal knock this time, rather than the previous 'Shave and a haircut' thing, and speaks loud enough that Caleb should be able to hear him.]

Caleb? Can...can we talk please?

[He's somber. Like he's ready for things to get sad-and he knows it will.]

[Caleb isn't wrong. If no one kills, they could just kill off the hostages and find a different motivation. It's simple enough to understand.

But actually being informed of that possibility...It does something to King. A dark look comes over his half-lidded eyes as he stares at the floor. He doesn't move for a solid minute. He's just...frozen.

Then, he walks behind the bar, face not changing, and starts rummaging around.

Might be from an actual, real D&D world. He sounded like he came straight out of a campaign. Argued with him at first, but eventually talked it out. Might have issues with his parents. Also likes to drink.

A kid that might be from a fantasy world where dragons are normal. Didn't know what D&D was or how trains worked, so I ended up explaining it to him. He's alright, but someone else should explain the next thing to him.

• King happens be from a world that is very similar to our own, with the main difference being the whole...sentient animals thing. As such, there is a good opportunity for some fourthwalling. It would entirely depend on how mainstream the canon is, however, as the more obscure it is, the less likely he has ever heard of it. Even then his knowledge of it may vary, depending on how much actual interest he may show in it. If you'd prefer to not have to deal with fourthwalling, though, I completely understand. Just let me know and I won't start any.
